Indra Dental Center was the brainchild of Dr. Rajesh Raveendranathan with the sole aim of providing quality dental treatment to the people of Malappuram, Kerala. Incepted in 2000, the Dental Centre was based in the SBT Building and then was shifted to more convenient and lavish present premises adjacent to it.

Dr. Rajesh Raveendranathan born and educated in Bahrain. He finished his schooling at Indian School, Bahrain in 1993. He completed his graduation from Rajas Dental College attached to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. He had always evinced a keen interest in orthodontics even in his early years as a general practitioner. This interest led him to ICNOG (International College of Neuromuscular Orthodontics and Gnathology) whose India chapter in co-ordination with IDRR, guided him to the successful completion of its Level One in Calicut, India. ICNOG introduced the concept of TMD (Tempero-mandibular joint disorders) and its relation to orthodontics and kinesiology. He then followed it with his Level Two held in conjunction with IDRR in Dubai. One among the only duo to have done so in Asia, he is also the only one in South India to own the K7, the mandibular tracking device manufactured by Myotronics. He has since then attended various international conferences worldwide. The IAO Conference in April, 2008 at San Antonio paved the way for catapulting him to the arena of Iatrogenic Headaches, Neckaches and Migraines which are actually not iatrogenic but related to TMD. This relatively new theory has profounded many specialists in headache therapy but is a proven one. By just changing the occlusion to a more physiological Myocentric Occlusion the patient relieves the condylar pressure on the retrodiscal pad in the TMJ, thus eliminating the headache/neckache. The new relaxed position of the condyle is maintained by different sorts of appliances such as splints, MORA’s and other jigs; or even through occlusal buildups, crowns and even orthodontic treatment. Dr. Rajesh now conducts seminars at various locations and encourages the point that we are not just Tooth-doctors! He is currently an associate member of the IAO (International Association for Orthodontists) and is the only one in India to have passed the written test for their diplomate level. He is also a member of the AACP (American Association of Cranio-Facial Pain) and IFUNA (International Functional Orthodontics Association). He is also currently the Honorary Secretary of the Malappuram Branch of IDA (Indian Dental Association).

Dr. Asha Rajesh , the better half, is inspiration personified. Educated and brought up in Bangalore, she graduated from RV Dental College, Bangalore. Hardworking and the dedicated mother of a girl she has done numerous CDE’s in Endodontics and has perfected the art in Crown down technique, the latest in Root Canal Treatments. She has also finished her certificate course in Aesthetic Dentistry from University of Manitoba, Canada.
